What This Privacy Policy Covers
Ethalium takes privacy seriously. Please read the following to learn more about our privacy policy.
How Ethalium Uses Your Personal Information

This policy covers how Ethalium treats personal information that it collects and receives, including information related to your past use of Ethalium services. Personal information is information about you that is personally identifiable like your name, email address, or password, and that is not otherwise publicly available.

This privacy policy only applies to Ethalium
This policy does not apply to the practices of companies that Ethalium does not own or control, or to people that Ethalium does not employ or manage. Ethalium is a relay service, we receive emails from a 3rd party provider and forward that email to another 3rd party email provider. Ethalium is not responsible for the actions of those 3rd party email providers or their data policies. Similarly, Ethalium is not responsible for 3rd party email clients or apps that are used to access email. Given an email can be touched by multiple 3rd party email providers and email clients, users should never assume that their communications are private. Ethalium provides a service that is intended to help preserve your anonymity. For this reason Ethalium strongly recommends that you use caution when disclosing any personal information via emails transmitted through Ethalium.
Information Collection & Use

Ethalium collects personal information when you register with Ethalium, and when you visit Ethalium pages. When you register we ask for information such as your name, email address and a password. When you visit our web site, Ethalium may record information from your computer and browser, including your ip address, software and hardware attributes, and the page you request.

Ethalium uses this data to protect you from others misusing your account, to improve our services, to provide support, to customize content, and to report aggregated, anonymous statistics.

Ethalium may store some elements of your email to ensure properly delivery, to provide support and to improve our service. Ethalium does not share this data and may not retain this data any longer than is necessary to support delivery.

It is important to note that flagging an email as spam, phishing or suspicious will forward the email to the Ethalium support team to investigate. Emails forwarded to Ethalium support may be retained to justify any determinations or penalties, to ensure adherence to our terms of use, and to allow Ethalium to improve our service and better protect our users.

Information Sharing & Disclosure

Ethalium does not rent, sell, or share personal information about you with other people or non-affiliated companies.

Ethalium should be viewed as a gateway between 2 other email providers, a sender and receiver. Ethalium is not responsible for any content stored, distributed, sold or shared by either the sender or receiver.

Similarly, while nearly all legal requests for data should be (and will likely be) directed to the sender or receiver email providers, Ethalium may disclose data in a few rare instances, including:

When we respond to subpoenas, court orders, or legal process such as law enforcement requests, or to establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims. When we believe it is necessary to share information in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of Ethalium’s terms of use, or as otherwise required by law. We transfer information about you if Ethalium is acquired by or merged with another company. In this event, Ethalium will notify you before information about you is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy While there may be limited data that we retain on many emails, it is important to note that emails flagged as suspicious may be retained for longer periods.
Cookies & Similar Technologies

Ethalium may set and access Ethalium cookies on your computer if you visit our web site. We may also set and access device identifiers which could include IP address, user agent information (browser version, OS type and version), and device provided identifiers.

Information and Preferences

We reserve the right to send you certain communications relating to the Ethalium service, such as service announcements, and administrative messages without offering you the opportunity to opt out of receiving them.

Confidentiality & Security

The primary objective of our service is to provide anonymity. We therefore recommend you use our service wisely and take advantage of features like specifying a different name when sending Ethalium mails. Failing to take prudent measures to preserve your anonymity is not the responsibility of Ethalium.

We limit access to personal information about you to employees who we believe reasonably need to come into contact with that information to provide products or services to you or in order to do their jobs.

Emails flagged as suspicious or phishing are forwarded to our support team to investigate. While we may rely on bots for some of these investigations, there are times when we will have employees review these emails.

We have physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to protect personal information about you. Again, we ask that you do not disclose personal information in emails.

Changes to This Policy

Ethalium may update this policy on occasion. We will notify you about significant changes in the way we treat personal information by sending a notice to the primary email address specified in your Ethalium account.
